Katartizo

G2596 and a der. of G739; to complete
thoroughly, i.e. repair (lit. or fig.) or adjust: -- fit, frame,
mend, (make) perfect (-ly join together), prepare, restore.*
Examples of the use of the word include:
To mend -
Matthew 4:21 And going on from there He saw two other
brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with
Zebedee their father, mending (katartizo) their nets; and He
called them. (See also Mark 1:19)
To prepare -
Matthew 21:16 and said to Him, "Do You hear what these are
saying?" And Jesus said to them, "Yes; have you never read, 'OUT
OF THE MOUTH OF INFANTS AND NURSING BABES THOU HAST
PREPARED (katartizo) PRAISE FOR THYSELF'?" (See

To train -
Luke 6:40 "A pupil is not above his teacher; but everyone, after
he has been fully trained (katartizo), will be like
his teacher.
