God finished creating all the creatures on the planet and had a couple of spare parts left over. So, he called Adam and Eve together and told them that they can each have one more part. The first part, he explained, was an attachment that enabled the owner to stand up while peeing and to write his name in the snow while doing so. Adam got soooo excited -- he just danced around, wailing, "'Me! Me! Me! Oh, God, I just have to have that attachment. Please, please, oh, please, God, give me that spare part."
With a look that said, "I knew Adam would really be impressed with this gadget," God turned to Eve and said, "What do you think?"
Knowing that her response would please both God and Adam, Eve answered, "God, it doesn't mean that much to me and Adam seems to have his heart set on it. So why not let Adam have it."
Happily, God gave the nifty attachment to Adam and Adam went off to play with his new gizmo, leaving God and Eve alone.
With mischief in his eyes, God looked to Eve and said, "Eve, I still have one part left over. Would you like it?"
Eve replied,"God, I don't know. You know I am quite satisfied with the body you have already provided. What is this left over part?"
God said, "Well, it just a little button thing, and it doesn't let you write your name in the snow while you are peeing like Adam's extra part. It isn't showy or gaudy or ostentatious like Adam's attachment. You can easily forget you even have it. After all, you don't need to handle it every time you pee. It just gets tucked away, out of sight and out of mind."
"So," Eve asked in bewilderment, "then what is it good for?"
God sighed, "It enables you to have multiple orgasms."
sunshine@pinn.netSunshine for Women encourages you to support our feminist sisters by purchasing their books, reading them, disseminating the ideas they contain, but most especially, by making their book available to our sisters, our daughters, and the community at large by requesting your school library, your public library, and area bookstores to carry their books. Remember it is not enough to write literature, history, and theology, we must pass these works on to future generations. Help us to preserve these works for a new generation by putting them on library bookshelves.
